Nimbus Roll-Out

Update Capterra.com with new colors, buttons, and
Role: UI Designer/Developer | Duration: 1 Month

Problem

Through user interviews and panda surveys, we’ve heard from our users that Capterra.com looked outdated, untrustworthy, and too white.

Obstacles

  • Only two of the colors provided by the brand team were contrast compliant

  • Had limited tech resources

  • Needed buy-in from several different teams because it also affected brand

  • Needed careful coordination with multiple scrum teams because we were Between two tech stacks (rails and react)

Solution

  • Expanded our color palette to have UI-friendly, contrast compliant colors

  • I, as well as other designer with coding background, implemented all the changes on the Rails side, while a developer made changes to the React pages

03 | Mockup and plan

With all the research and discussions in mind, we created the user flow and wireframes. In order to make sure the flows and screens were easy to understand, we used the usertesting.com platform to run unmoderated usability tests on the prototype of the wireframes.

04 | coordinate and roll out
